Privacy policy — Focus

Focus is a personal goal and reminder app for Android. It runs entirely on your device. It has no user accounts, no servers, and no analytics, and it has no permission to access the internet — it cannot send your data anywhere.

What Focus uses, and where it stays

Everything you enter, or that Focus reads, stays in the app's private storage on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

• Goals, notes, schedules, and settings you create — stored locally only.
• Calendar events — only if you grant calendar access. Focus reads your events to lay out the day's timeline (prep and travel reminders). Event details are used on the device and never copied off it.
• Microphone — only if you turn on voice check-in. While a full-screen check-in is showing, Focus listens for a few short spoken commands (e.g. "done", "not yet") to dismiss it. It requests on-device recognition and never records, stores, or transmits your audio. Recognition is performed by Android's speech service; Focus only receives the recognised words to match a command.
• Notifications — used to deliver your reminders.

Data collection and sharing

Focus does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. It has no internet permission. There are no ads, no trackers, and no third-party analytics.

Diagnostic logs and "Report a problem"

Focus keeps a small technical log on the device to help diagnose problems. It contains only timings, counts, and anonymous identifiers — never your goal text, calendar titles, notes, or locations. The log stays on your device and is removed after seven days.

If you choose Settings → Report a problem, Focus prepares an email with that log attached and opens your own email app so you can review and send it. Nothing is sent unless you send it, and you can see exactly what's attached first.

Backups

Automatic cloud backup of the app's data is disabled.

Children

Focus is a general-purpose productivity app and collects no data from anyone.

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above will change.
